David Harry Bernstein
Greetings! I am currently an early career researcher at the RWI Leibniz Institute for Economic Research in the Environment and Resources division in Essen, Germany. In the Spring of 2020, I will defend my doctoral dissertation at the University of Miami, Department of Economics. My adviser is Chris Parmeter.
For my job market paper, I study the impact of Renewable Portfolio Standards and other policies on natural gas electricity generation plants in the United States. My research agenda also includes various fields of econometrics including: stochastic frontier analysis, time series and nonparametrics.
Prior to my studies at the Miami Herbert Business School, I earned a Master of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BA in Mathematics and a BA in Economics from Brandeis University.
My University of Miami, Economics Department website is here. I also have a website for: Google Scholar, ORCID, LinkedIn, Mendeley, Scopus, ResearchGate, and IDEAS/RePEc. This website, however, will generally be the most up-to-date.
I will be available for interviews at the January 2020 ASSA meeting in San Diego, CA.
